At the instigation of the Mohammed VI Foundation of Environmental Protection, Maroc Telecom has renovated «Arsat Moulay Abdeslam», an 8-hectar park founded, 300 years ago, by the Prince Moulay Abdeslam in the heart of Marrakech. Maroc Telecom maintains the park since its restoration.
The park was renovated with great respect to the existing, to revive the authentic ‘Arsat’ while introducing technology: ADSL access and WiFi terminals have been installed in some parts of the park.
Since then, it was named “Cyber Park Moulay Abdeslam” by Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, President of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection, to symbolize the coexistence of nature and technology.
The ‘Arsat’ has become a fun place for a promenade, for locals and tourists and also a gathering place where many cultural events can be held.
Maroc Telecom has built within the park a cyber space and a Telecommunications museum.
In June 2017, the park got, for the fourth year in
succession, the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, for the quality of its welcome and its service.
